personalization - email address actually sent to?

I'm playing with improving our email stationaries, and would like to change the text around the unsub link so that it affirms the address to which the message was sent.  Something like:

We sent this email to joebob@yahoo.com because of your interest in small flat rocks.

In convio, I see two options for personalizing - primary email and secondary email.  I've assumed that Convio would rollover to a secondary email if the primary is hard-failing.

1. is it true that Convio will rollover to send to the secondary email if the primary is failing

2. is there a way to get what I'm after here? Will the email stationary do what I want?
