Considering Luminate Online

Our organization is looking at Luminate Online. We really like the features, but from the information we receive one is limited to 3 emails/month to records with valid email addresses. This seems extremely low. Best practices are sending anywhere from 2 - 4 emails per week so wondering if this information is correct. If it is, how do you manage that low number of emails? Also, any pros/cons?

  • Hello Laurie - I would check with your rep about those numbers. We moved to Luminate Online about a year ago and we have had no issues with sending email, or limits on email per address. But I will add, we don't send that much email out either. I would say a constituent would get a max of 10 emails a month.

  • I imagine there are multiple packages these days, but we also have no limits on the quantity of messages sent. Our pricing is dependent on the number of sendable constituents in your house file. It's a tier structure, so 0-50,000 might be one price, and 50,000-100,000 is the next tier (why yes, I did just make those numbers up.)


    Also worth noting that once to cross into the next tier there is no going back. You can't cull your list to return to a lower pricing tier.
