Mass Email Spam?

So did anybody else get more than 50 "Instant Alert" emails sent to their inbox last night?


I've got a tidal wave of no subject Blackbaud Community messages with some rather less-than-valuable notes. Did you know that the website will be unavailable for a couple hours overnight in mid-May? I do now!


They're all time-stamped from 6:44pm-7:42 PDT. Pretty crazy and glad that I wasn't here at the office when it happened. LOL

Check your notifications inbox here on the Blackbaud site (should be at the top of the screen by your username). They explain basically what happened and what they're doing to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Good morning everyone!


Please accept our apologies about the numerous notifications you received last night. At approximately 9:30 PM EST, we were attempting our blog migration to the community platform. During this migration, the migration script failed and resulted in community members receiving an excessive numbers of notification emails from the Blackbaud Community. It was immediately stopped once we became aware of this error.


We are going to work with our vendor to troubleshoot and ensure this does not happen again. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this error.
