Tracking Community Event Fundraisers

We partner with many community event fundrasing (grassroots) groups who host walk/runs team fundraisers on our behalf.

My question is - What are some recommendations on where to track the fundraisers in Raiser's Edge and how much they are personally responsible for bringing in.

Does anyone set up the registrants as solicitors and link all of the gifts they are personally responsible to their record?

I welcome all thoughts and feedback!

  • Registrants as solicitors may be the best choice; you could set them up as sponsors in the event and then add all their fundraisers in the event as "sponsored by" that person - however the report on this is CUMBERSOME, where as the solicitor reporting is much easier.

    I haven't worked with Event module to know its capabilities.  Without the event module if you really needed amounts by person and lots of reporting capability, I'd say solicitors.  Can be a lot of work if you're recording lots of small amounts.  If you're recording all the gifts in RE anyway, to me it's the way to go.
