Merge Volunteer Jobs and Volunteer Job Assignments

I have duplicate jobs and job assignments and I would like to clean up. Has anyone done this? Support is researching this for me and so far is unable to provide a solution.

It is difficult to merge volunteer jobs and Volunteer assignments because EACH job is specific to EACH event. The Volunteer module does not allow for a one-to-may coding on Jobs.  It seems that the software was written with the thought in mind of jobs @ Walks or "thons"... meaning that you may work the Water station or some similiar thing at a SPECIFIC event.


Because of this our job listing is HUGE because we have to create a new job for every volunteer at each event they are assisting with.

We have home hosts and drivers for our international delegations that visit, so while not optimal in the writing of the software we have made it work.
