Managing Hard Bounces in Raiser's Edge

Hi there,


I'm just looking for some suggestions on how to manage hard bounces when you are integrated with RE. Should the records in RE be updated with a different email type ie. Invalid Email , or changed to an alternate email address?

  • This is a question I have too regarding best practice. Currently on a case by case bases, we mark that email inactive and add something like 'Luminate Hard Bounce' in the comments, but I'm mulling over what to do for cleaning on a larger scale.. I like the idea of having an Invalid Email type too because I don't believe it will sync with Luminate if the email type is changed..
