Year end Consolidated Receipts

My school wants to send out via email a consolidated receipt to all of our donors for tax purposes. Since not all of our donors are marked as receiving consolidated receipst, does anone have a way to do this? We have gone the long way using a query, exporting it, and then creating a mail merge. I am just curious to find out how others are doing this and if there is an easier way?

    I understand you want to do this as a courtesy, hopefully you have already sent out required receipts in a 'timely manner'. :)  If gift is already receipted the $ figures won't pull into a consolidated receipt.  Consolidated receipts can work well but do not generate a document to print if filtering on more than one fund.  Also, it will pull any unreceipted gifts - can be issue if there are benefits received.


    For something to send as statement to donors have you looked at Reports > Financial > Annual Giving Statement or Constit Giving History?  They might serve your needs better.


     
  • Thank you for your response. We do send out receipts within two days of receiving gift, but like to send out statements this time of year as a "look back" for donors. It is also nice for those donors who lose their receipts through out the year. We have used the annual giving statements, but pulling that report into an email we can send to donors in where we are having some trouble.
