S1 problem for blank field

Options
I'm sure there is something simple that I am overlooking, but the following code works fine - unless the field is blank.  All the constituents receiving the email should have an amount - even if it is $0.00 - but in case we skipped one, I'd like to cover that problem.

[[?xx[[S1::custom_monetary_value1]]xx::xx$0.00xx::Our records do not reflect a contribution to the American Indian Education Foundation in 2015.::Your 2015 contributions to the American Indian Education Foundation totaled [[S1:custom_monetary_value1]] and are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowable by law.]]

So, if the field custom_monetary_value1 on their profile has $0.00, they see "Our records do not reflect a contribution to the American Indian Education Foundation in 2015."  If they have an amount other than $0.00, they see "Your 2015 contributions to the American Indian Education Foundation totaled [[S1:custom_monetary_value1]] and are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowable by law."  But, if the field is blank, they see nothing.

What can I change so if the field is blank, they will see the same thing as thing as if it contained $0.00?

Thanks,

Alicia

  • How about using OR conditional approach on the S-tag?

    [[?
       [[?xx[[S1::custom_monetary_value1]]xx::xx$0.00xx::T::]]
       [[?xx::x[[S1:custom_monetary_value1]]x::T::]]
    ::T::
    Our records do not reflect a contribution to the American Indian Education Foundation in 2015
    ::

    Your 2015 contributions to the American Indian Education Foundation totaled [[S1:custom_monetary_value1]] and are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowable by law
    ]]

    something like the above I am thinking..

    regards,
