Submitting total fees to processRegistration method

We have an API registration form that is reportedly double charging registration fees for secondary registrants.


From what I understand, you don't submit a registrationFee to the processRegistration method. The method simply charges registration fees based on the total number and type of participation types (back end TR settings) and any additional donation they might have made (front end selection by registrant). Is that correct? Has anyone else run into issues with secondary registration using the processRegistration method?
