One Gift fulfilling multiple constituent pledges

Options
Hi Everyone,

I am looking for a way to make crediting our solicitors for matching gifts that come through easier.  Currently, after a donor gives a gift and they submit it to their employer for matching, we confirm with the employer and create a MG-pledge on the gift.  The gift comes in later and we fulfill the pledge and add the MG-paycash gift.  Pretty standard. The problem occurs when we have multiple open MG-pledges from multiple constituents that a matching gift company fulfills with one check.  Our gift processing team just adds the gifts and then our fundraising team reviews all the gifts weekly to add solicitor credit to the gifts that did not credit solicitors automatically (the crediting rules are tricky sometimes and the fundraising team knows the relationships/donors more than the gift processing team).

Is there a way to query or report on a MG-paycash gift to easily see all the MG-pledges (and the constituents) that the pay cash fulfilled? This should make the gift crediting process much easier for our fundraising team admins that find dividing out matching gift payments to multiple solicitors quite cumbersome at the moment.

Thanks!

Matthew

I have on MG foundation that often has MG for several gifts in one check.  I have had no problem with crediting solicitors as we enter the solicitor on the MG when it is created.  For us it's the same solicitor as the gift being matched.  If it's missing, couldn't your gift processing team add it?  That way when payment is made solicitor is auto filled.

My double check is to look at the MG foundations gift tab where I have the solicitor as one of the columns displayed.  Can see if there were any problem.

There is a MG report - Reports > Financial Reports > MG Report might provide what you need.  Otherwise a simple gift query of MG pledges/MG pay-cash gift type with current time period could be created.
