Development Operations Coordinator - West Orange, NJ

We are currently looking for a Development Operations Coordinator to join our team. This position would be responsible for providing assisting and supporting the planning and implementation of a comprehensive program to sustain and expand philanthropic support for Visiting Nurse Association Health Group through a capital campaign/ major gifts, annual giving and planned giving programs.

Responsibilities:

1.Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers

2.Answers all department phone calls and refers inquiries to appropriate staff

3.Prepares donation deposits and acknowledgement of gifts in accordance with policy and procedure

4.Updates and maintains the Raiser’s Edge fund-raising database

5.Manages the monthly and annual reconciliation with the Finance Department

6.Provides support for internal and external special events

7.Provides administrative support for the Director of Development

8.Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance

9.Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position

Qualifications: 

1.Bachelor’s degree preferred

2.2-3 years work related experience

3.Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and BlackBaud software including but not limited to The Raiser’s Edge, Online Express, BlackBaud Analytics, RE Event Module.

4.Excellent verbal and written communication skills

5.Excellent interpersonal skills

6.Ability and willingness to travel

7.Car and a valid driver’s license
