test message unsubscribe link

Options

Hi,

I noticed that when I sent out a test message of our newsletter, the unsubscribe link was acting a little funny. When anyone clicked on it, the page popped up with my name. In other words, those receiving the test message could unsubscribe me from further email but could not unsubscribe themselves. I'm hoping this is just a quirk of the test message and will be different when I send out the real one. Can anyone confirm this for me?

Thanks,

Simin Hailu

  • That's been my experience as well, but only for test messages, not live communications to constituents.

The test message is always sent out under the admin's name that sends it, regardless of who you send it to. You'll always see this on test messages, but not on any real message you send out.

Note that this happens with test email, but not if you use the Reviewer List. With the Reviewer List, the message will be rendered in the context of each individual reviewer's record, not the admin who sent the test.
