Founded in 1999, Ocean Discovery Institute is a nonprofit organization that uses ocean science to empower young people from urban and underserved communities to transform their lives, their community, and ultimately our world as science and conservation leaders. The organization has achieved significant impact and received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring, the highest honor bestowed by the White House for efforts that advance the participation of underrepresented minorities in these fields.


Today, Ocean Discovery Institute’s 20-person team is working to scale its work both locally and nationally. For the past four years, the organization has prioritized process documentation and evaluation and has transitioned to The Raiser’s Edge CRM. However the staff faces time constraints (as they work to do this while implementing programs) and lacks systems expertise. For this reason, there is a need to improve and document work flows and to integrate these more effectively with The Raiser’s Edge technology. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit proposals from various candidate individuals, conduct a fair and extensive evaluation based on criteria listed herein, and select the candidate who is best fit to advance this effort.
