Pasting into the WYSIWYG gone a bit wacky?

Options

I paste anything into the WYSIWYG from a Notepad doc, so as to remove any possible styling that could come with the text. No exceptions. And this has worked just about perfectly for two years.

But recently (and this doesn't happen all the time), the text gets a style of:

<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #0000ff;">

through no effort on my part. Then I have to go in and delete this code.

Am I doing something wrong all of a sudden?

And yes, I do check that the code is not already tehre. Somehow it either just shows up or is coming from the Notepad (?). I don't know. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks!

  • Can you work with out the WYSIWYG? That would solve all your problems I disabled mine for that same reason and just use Dreamweaver as my HTML editor and ever since I did that I don't run into any of those issues but the only thing is you have to feel confortable working with the WYSIWYG disabled if you can do that you should be in good shape if not I would write Convio a support ticket.

  • Sorry that I don't have any solutions to offer, but can tell you that we've been experiencing the same thing and it has caused us many headaches. We're working with our account rep to get snowballed issues fixed.
