How to convert all members of a group to "inactive"

Options

I've been looking through the Convio options to get rid of a large group of dormant members, and can find no simple way to remove them as a whole (or to render them inactive, to use the official term). Likewise, I've tried to change their "accept email" status to no using the "select action" tool for groups, without luck (it doesn't seem to take hold, even though I deselect "accept email" and apply it to all group members).

If anyone has a good way to remove these 2,000-plus members from the daily flow of my Convio operations, I'd be grateful to hear about it. Thanks!

  • Just put them in a group and submit a support case to Convio. I think they don't give you the option of doing it yourself.

While you've got them in a group, why not just exclude that group from your messages? (Perhaps you want to try and re-engage them at some point in the future.)

Thanks for the support-ticket idea, Mathew. I'm excluding the group already (just as you suggested), and made an attempt some time ago to confirm their interest in our program. I'll submit the ticket as you suggested - thanks again!
