creating a new page wrapper

Convio has made our page wrappers ... so I am diving in for the first time. I am pretty lost as to where to start since all I see is reus pages. If I want to use our reus header and footer, but completly change the middle with one large image and use it for a donation form  in the middle where and how do I do this. It was suggested that I cut up the image into 9 pieces and form a table with 3 rows, 3 colums and put the place holder text in the middle for the donation form.

Makes sense but where in the code do I put this image, how big how do I place place holder text so  can use it as a wrapper for a donation page?? Can anyone please help me get started?
