Support Group sign up sheet

Options

Hi,

I want to create a survey that will allow a support group host to add all of the support group members on one form.  The survey results would then automatically create a separate individual record for each of the different support group members.  Is this something I can do? Or is it better for the support group members to register for each support group meeting that they attend?

Please let me know what you think...

Thanks!

  • I'm pretty sure there isn't a way to register all the users en masse via a survey. (You could do that in the Convio back end by importing a CSV.)

I think your only real option is the second method. Create a survey with the new registrant fields (which if included in a survey will result in a new constituent record being created.) The survey can even automatically add the responders to a Convio constituent group of your choice, so one form per support group and the whole thing should handle itself.

Otherwise, perhaps you could add a multi-choice field to a single survey with all the groups the registrant wants to join. Then you could use a survey report to get those answers to fashion a CSV. (That CSV would be how you get the users into the appropriate groups, via import.) More manual work, but you can have a single survey handle the whole thing.

    Regards, Brian
