Ideas for Conditional Group Pricing

Options
Hi,

We would like to offer conditional pricing based on the number of people registering online for a particular event. Say we decide to offer a discounted price to 5 or more people who register as a group online. Does anyone have any idea's for achiving that result?

Thanks

  • Create an event unit for "group of 5 tickets" and then set the pricing to allow for the group discount
  • Thanks for the idea. Additionally we could create five separate event units consisting of of 5, 6, 7, 8, & 9 people. Combining them would allow the discount to apply to any number of people above 5. Two groups of 6 would provide a total of 12 and so on. The groups won't have to be divisible by five for the discount to apply for everyone. It may not look pretty and our customers would have to do a bit of math but it would work.
  • Did you ever successfully implement a group pricing strategy? If so, was it through discount codes or some other method?

I'm trying to figure out how to offer group pricing for teams in TeamRaiser events. My thought was to have the team captain pay the entire amount with their registration, then provide a discount code in an auto-responder for the rest of the team members to register for free. My donor care team wasn't happy with this idea though, because of the potential messiness in our database.

    Thoughts? I'd appreciate any advice!

    Thanks,

    Bonnie
