When your honorees are hamsters...

...it doesn't make sense to add them to the database as constituents.  No joke, this is a real issue when working at an animal shelter laugh  Many of the donations we receive are in honor or memory of pets.

Is there a way to export acknowledgee addresses without setting them up as Tributes, aside from clicking each honor/memory donation and copy/pasting them out one by one?  The spreadsheet produced by the "Export Selected" button currently exports everything but acknowledgee info.

  • For several clients, we use Gift Attribute and/or Comments field instead of the acknowledgee element of the tribute and in some cases in lieu of the tribute section altogether.

Example page/form is https://www.rettsyndrome.org/get-involved/donate, where the Tribute type and name fields are used, but then gift attributes are incorporated and moved via js to collect acknowledgee information.

  • To clarify, that form page was BBNC. I'm sorry for any confusion.

OEX example with comments field is https://hamiltonfamilycenter.org/get-involved/give-today/, and use of gift attribute would be similar.  You can move the attributes in position on the form inherently, without js.

This. I would use a gift attribute instead of the tribute function (which causes issues anyway for us). We do that for a few of our run/walks to collect sponsoring pledge info.

And thanks for the laugh today :)
