Going over some old threads about EmailFinder and linking through the Knowledgebase I came across this article talking about an Email Verification service: https://kb.blackbaud.com/articles/Article/53894



It says (among other things):

If an exact match is made, an address attribute of ‘Email Verification’ is returned.

Processing takes four to six weeks, and the results are added in Raiser’s Edge as an Address Attribute with the Category of ‘Email Verification’, Comments of Phone Type submitted in the export, and one of the following Descriptions:

Valid - Email Address provided is a valid address

Invalid - Invalid Email Address or ISP cannot deliver

Opt Out - Valid, but Opt Out from receiving email

I'm curious about how this fits with versions 7.94 & 7.95 now that Phones/Emails are no longer tied to an Address.



And it leads to another issue (which I'll check on in the Discovery site) that the KB needs to include which version(s) each article refers to and when it was last updated.

You make a great point.  I looked at this article as well and it would really be helpful to know the date it was last updated.  I'll add one more item as well, I'd like to see a reference to the version the article pertains to.  Without that information, it is hard to know if this actually pertains to us or not.
