The Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania seeks an Assistant Director, Annual Fund, who is tasked with implementing and assisting in management of a comprehensive annual gift fundraising program. The Assistant Director is an integral part of a dynamic development team reporting Senior Associate Director of Development. The position is responsible for growth and oversight of Morris Arboretum's Annual Fund by engaging donors and prospects, and encouraging their

leadership support. This position includes some management of Annual Fund volunteers as well as producing printed and online annual giving communications and conducting personal solicitations to a small, individualized prospect pool. Donor engagement and stewardship includes participating in development events such as the annual gala, Moonlight & Roses, the Plant Sale, Collectors Circle receptions and other events, as necessary. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Individual donor cultivation and solicitation. Creation, coordination and preparation of Annual Fund materials, including bulk mail appeals, email appeals and updates, Q&A brochures etc. Management of the Annual Fund volunteers. Programming, printed materials, solicitations, and stewardship for members of the Collectors Circle. 2-4 personal visits/month with high-end annual fund prospects/donors. Acknowledgement of all annual gifts. Produce bi-weekly Annual Fund Pipeline. Printing, stuffing, and mailing all annual giving solicitation letters, including personalized letters to board and Director's Guild members. Report writing and

generation, donor stewardship, tracking of annual giving activity in Raiser's Edge and in Atlas, the University of Pennsylvania's Development and Alumni Relations database. Focus on effective communication and solicitation activities within specific market segments identified as having potential for the greatest growth.
