How can I add an appeal to the general tab of an action?

We would like to add Appeals to the Action tab on Constituents.  We have a General tab for each year and create Appeals as necessary (Annual Event, Give to the Max Day, etc.)  Is it possible to add an Appeals field (with a dropdown list of our Appeals) to the Action tab so we can track activity specific to those Appeals?  If so, How?

  • You can have Actions on an Appeal record (not a Constituent Appeal record which only shows what Appeals the Constituent received) which let you track where you are in the process of sending out a broad Appeal.  For Constituent Actions, there is no option to tie it to a particular Appeal.  Appeals are meant for broad solicitations, not the sort of ask that you'd try to track each Action for every Constituent.

    LOL - I just finished entering an email action and was wishing for the same function .  Unfortunately the only action type that currently includes appeal is Advocacy. 



    You could try creating an attribute of appeal and recording your info there.  I haven't tried that yet.  I'm assuming it is not possible to record the info you want on the appeals tab.
  • Is it possible to add a Subject box under the Phone number box as there is when I choose eMail?

    Melanie, no users do not have the capability to add field boxes into the software.
