BBNC eCard Bug

Since latest patch/update, if you are using the eCards part in BBNC with donation element included, please note this error update from Blackbaud as of 11/11/15. 



There is currently a bug in the BBNC software on the eCard part that makes step 3 non-functional for the eCard part with a donation set up. Our Product Development team is working to resolve this as we speak. In the meantime, the alternative solution is to use a donation form with eCards enabled. That will work, and have more-or-less the same results while we resolve this issue with the eCard part.

Our Product Development team is currently investigating the error with the eCards part that appeared in Blackbaud NetCommunity version 6.64. This error only surfaces when having a donation required as part of sending the eCard. Alternatively, a donation form can be created including the option to send an eCard. Right - but the workaround is not feasible nor friendly when an org wants to present beautiful eCards first, then have an 'ask' before sending.  Presenting a donation form first and including an option to send an eCard is 180 degrees different experience.



Many orgs have eCards live on their sites, so they would have to proactively rebuild donation forms on every page, setup the functionality (emails, etc), then reset the pages once the bug is resolved.
