Media Tab - how much storage do we get?

Hello - we are a hosted and have started using the Media tab for storing all gift info and acknowledgements.



Does anyone know how much space we are given/allotted for Media tab storage? And what happens if we exceed that? Do we have the option to purchase more? At what price?

I do not believe there is a limit on space for RE:7 Media, other than a total db size of (I think) 10GB, which includes embedded Media.



However, if you are considering (ever) moving to NXT, you will want to be sure you use Media in a way that will require as little (or no) work on your part when you make the switch.  NXT uses Attachments instead of Media.  Media already embedded in RE:7 will be migrated to the new interface for you but at that point, I recommend abandoning RE:7 Media and solely using RE:NXT Attachments (because it will also, in a future release, allow for Attachments to Gift Records, which will be awesome for us, and probably for you, as well).  See this (rather long, sorry) thread with screenshots for more information.  New NXT feature, so still under development, and there is every possibility I may be wrong in some of my understanding.

We have NXT now, and I read your thread with the screenshots but I'm afraid it went a little over my head. I haven't been in NXT yet, so I have no idea how our current items in Media have been transferred, or what the NXT Attachments looks like.



My main reason for asking about size limits is to see if it is worth my organization looking at a company like PaperSave, but it sounds like if we have already gone to NXT that it is not necessary...?

I don't think PaperSave will have the same ROI.  We don't have it...I would rather spend money on other things since I was able to devise a system that works for us in RE without something like PaperSave.
