Online Express Currency Discrepancy

Options
We have just started using online express for donations and have received our first online donation (hooray!). When I go to process the transaction, I get the warning that the "Rasier's Edge Batch contains gifts in currancies that differ from your system currency".

As far as I can tell, our system is set up in Canadian currency and the donation was made in Canadian currency, but it's showing up as USD in the gift information when I go into Donations Transactions.

Do I proceed with the transaction and assume it will be in Canadian currency? When I go into BBMS it indicates that the currency for the transaction is Canadian.

The full warning that I get when I try to process the transaction is as follows:

You are about to create a Raiser's Edge batch containing gifts in currencies that differ from your system currency.

Additionally, one or more currencies have not been mapped to a Raiser's Edge country. These gifts will be processed as per your Windows Regional settings. To map a currency to a Raiser's Edge country, click the options link on the Online Express page and choose the Currency Configuration tab.

The amounts entered into the Batch will be an estimation of the actual funds received.

Do you wish to continue?

I don't know if I wish to continue!

  • We're in the US and don't have this problem...but since no one else has jumped up with an answer yet...

Have you looked at your OLX currency settings?  In OLX, click on [Account] then select [Integration Options] and then [Currency Configuration].  It looks as though to add a country/currency you need to be in RE Config, but you could at least look to see what's showing there.

My next step would be to contact OLX Support.  They should be able to walk you through whatever you need to do/change to get everything working properly.

Once you are good-to-go, come back here and add a comment about the resolution so that anyone else with this same issue can easily find the answer (even if that answer is "it's complicated, so contact Support").
