Pop-up in donation form to prompt recurring giving?

Is there a way to create a pop-up that will show on the donation page to prompt people to make their gift recurring?  This was an idea that came through the npENGAGE blog to which I subscribed through Blackbaud, so I am hoping that there is some way to integrate this with our NetCommunity online donation forms.  I appreciate your insight!

Having a pop-up in the donation form would require some sort of customization on the donation form part, since there isn't an option to do that automatically. If you are interested in discussing pricing for the customization, you would need to get in touch with your Account Executive with Blackbaud. If you need assistance with finding out who that is, support can help if needed.

This can be achieved with simple javascript and added to one or many pages as an unformatted text part.
