The National Director, Peer-2-Peer (P2P) Fundraising will provide support for our community engagement initiatives by working with volunteers in the run/walk, political advocacy, and education fields to further their support of ZERO's programs in their local communities. The position is based in ZERO's office in Old Town, Alexandria, VA and reports to the Executive Vice President.

 

Position Purpose:

The National Director, Peer-2-Peer Fundraising is responsible for the strategy and implementation of the ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk and ZERO Endurance P2P fundraising programs.

 

Key Accountabilities:
  • Lead the development of the Run/Walk P2P program that establishes national fundraising benchmarks and tracks market benchmark performance
  • Develop and implement the P2P marketing program, including but not limited to email campaigns, incentive structures, and recognition programs
  • Develop online resources for team captains, participants, and corporate teams to increase P2P fundraising
  • Work with Regional Directors (RDs) to implement the strategy for the peer-to-peer program
  • Hold Regional Directors accountable for goals in their region
  • Refine/develop materials to support effective engagement of local leadership volunteers (Local Run/Walk Committees)
  • Coordinate and manage all communications to field staff in relation to best practices for the run/walk peer-to-peer program
  • Take a lead role in the development and facilitation of Run/Walk training opportunities offered to field staff through national and regional in-person sessions, WebEx, and calls, to maximize growth of programs
  • Work with Executive VP to train all new Chapter Directors on P2P program
  • Execute an internal communications plan to ensure that field staff are fully aware of our focus on participant/team recruitment, strategies, and plans
  • Develop tools and resources for field staff to use with Run/Walk Team Captains and participants to maximize fundraising dollars
  • Identify opportunities to enhance day-of-event experiences for Run/Walk fundraisers
  • Develop on-site plan for top fundraisers
  • Develop year round engagement for fundraisers
  • Work with National Events Fundraising Manager on strategy and implementation of ZERO’s National Endurance Program
  • Other duties as assigned
 

Must demonstrate the following:
  • Proven success in executing a national peer-to-peer program
  • At least five years of direct fundraising and or sales experience
  • Experience working with chapters
  • Staff management experience
  • Proficient use of Blackbaud technology
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Project coordination, planning, and management skills
  • Influence in directing others to execute national programs
  • Budget management experience
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of marketing and communications
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with various timelines and handle competing and changing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
