PAYROLL DEDUCTION FOR RECURRING GIVING

Is anyone using Payroll Deduction for Employee Recurring Giving and if yes, how are you capturing the information to be sure it gets noted as recurring giving?

    My office's solution is to have the finance department send us over a document bi-weekly with the names of the people who gave via payroll dedution, the amount, and the payroll date (which operates as the deposit date).  I then make a gift batch with gift types of "recurring-pay-cash" and the donor information. This way we can keep track of our payroll deduction staff and steward them appropriately. Bonus for me, in Canada payroll deductions are receipted on the annual T4 slip, so I do not have to issue an annual tax receipt for these people. I can elaborate further if needed.
