RE and LO sync and duplicate management

Hello,



I'm wondering if anyone is experiencing or had this problem and maybe came up with a solution...



We current have RE Enterprise and we are also using Luminate OnLine and the two systems are linked and synced.

Each time we create a new record in Raiser's Edge, RE has the ability to perform the duplicate management feature and if it doen't find a duplicate, it creates a new record in Raiser's Edge which in turn creates a new record in Luminate.

The problem is the new record being created in Luminate as a result of RE could be a duplicate and we are trying to figure out how can we prevent this from occuring.

Hi there,



This is also a challenge we face with the RE/LO integration. The only work-around that we have found helps is to run the duplicate finder task weekly and merge the existing LO only records to the newly created RE/LO record.



It would be great to hear from someone who knows how to prevent it from happening in the first place though...

This is also a problem for us as well. We purchased a plugin called Mass Merge from Blackbaud. We run it once a month and it works better than the built in utility for merging. Has anyone bought any other duplicate search utilities or explored other ways of avoiding the duplicates in the first place, like changing the constituent matching criteria?
