  Develop and oversee the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure effective identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of philanthropic prospects and donors for Inova.   Partner with the President of the Inova Foundation to ensure the effective management of Inova’s highest-level principle gift prospects and donors. Ensure effective coding, tracking and management of the movement of these prospects through the fundraising process.   Assist major gift officers in the development of fundraising strategies for all identified major gift prospects. Monitor ongoing strategy implementation and ensure effective prospect moves management.   Develop policies and procedures to ensure effective projections and forecasts for major gift productivity. Design and generate regular reports to track activity against projections. Conduct regular prospect review meetings, ensuring all major gift officers have balanced and active prospect portfolios. Assist in the creation of specific performance metrics and monitor and track major gift officer activities in the context of those metrics. As needed, participate in corrective action strategies to ensure fundraising potential is maximized. Supervise the Prospect Research Specialist; ensuring accurate prospect research is available to major gift officers in a timely manner. Standardize the process for requesting, developing and presenting research profiles. Assist in the development of stewardship strategies for all prospects to facilitate future and increased philanthropic support.   Serve as an expert in the use of the database to effectively capture all relevant major gift prospect activity. Monitor database usage and work with appropriate staff members to address any user issues. Assist in identifying new major gift prospects through the identification and acquisition of prospect screening tools, major gift donor analysis/modeling and database mining.   Requirements:
  5-7 years’ experience Raiser’s Edge experience is preferred.
