POSITION SUMMARY

This position supports fundraising programs by developing and maintaining an ongoing program to cultivate, service and recognize current donors, and to solicit new donors through special programs and events.  The Donor Relations and Finance Specialist serves as the administrator of the Foundation’s constituent relationship management system.  This position is also responsible for processing gifts, monitoring admission of donors to the Hospital, supporting Foundation staff members with advanced reporting needs, and assisting with other fundraising activities.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

 

Minimum Education:                   

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience

 

Preferred Education

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a major course of study in business administration, finance, or related subject.

 

Minimum Experience:

  • At least two years experience with donor relations, database management and financial recordkeeping.
  • Knowledge of different ways to approach potential donors to maximize fundraising efforts.
  • Ability to maintain electronic databases and bookkeeping systems, and to produce spreadsheets, word processing documents and reports.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to adjust communication style for the target audience.
  • Sufficient computer skills as are required to complete an online application and the pre-employment/annual required training.
  • In compliance with patient safety standards, must be able to effectively communicate in English; Bilingual abilities preferred

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with large fundraising programs and events.
  • Experience in financial recordkeeping of a non-profit organization

 

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged, extensive or considerable standing, walking and sitting.
  • Exposure to stressful environments that may include communicating with difficult individuals in emotional situations.

    As part of this role youn will be the Raiser's Edge database administrator, Also Financial Edge user/administrator.

    Working with a small team for a rural hospital Foundation, you will be reponsible for running monthly finance reports, yearly appeal mailings, reporting on the operating budget.  You will report to the Founation's Executive Director.
