Addressee Salutations for Medical Doctors

Options
I would like to know how are you addressing medical doctors in the Primary Addresee, Formal addressee and annual report addressee.

Would like to have some samples when husband and wife are both doctors or when only one of them is a doctor.

Thanks

Similar to Gina's response.  If both doctors: Drs.

We do not use the MD, just Dr. title.

Our primary addressee format is single name formal: Dr. Bill Brown.  Primary Sal is Dr. Brown.  Additional add/salu used for joint formal are Dr. & Mrs. Bill Brown / Dr. & Mrs. Brown.  When she is the doctor we have Mr. & Dr. Steve Smith or Dr. & Mr. Sue Smith if she's primary for the letter.

Our annual report listing is done without titles - just first and last names.
  • We are setup like this:

    Addressee:  John Smith, MD

    Salutation:  John

Addressee w/ Spouse:  Mary & John Smith, MD / Mary Smith, MD & John Smith / Mary & John Smith, MDs

Diff Last Names:  Mary Jones & John Smith, MD / Mary Jones, MD & John Smith / Mary Jones, MD & John Smith, MD

Salutation in all cases:  Mary and John
  • I have found this website to be very helpful with all situations/scenarios
