The Opportunity The Business Analyst's role is to analyze, design, develop, troubleshoot and support custom and packaged business systems software applications for Feeding America. This includes configuring, coding, developing and documenting software specifications throughout the project life cycle and creating end-user documentation. The Business Analyst will participate with implementation tasks and provide ongoing support to other technology projects where required. The ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently and in a team environment collaboratively are crucial.  Responsibilities Participate with the analysis and design of the development and initiation of new software programs and applications primarily focused on philanthropy activities. Participate with the quality assurance of program logic, data processing, and error resolution. Research, document and implement program or application requirements and specifications within Feeding America’s implementations. Take an active role in cross-departmental projects when needed. Interact regularly with managers, functional business units, members and vendors to field queries and questions (written and oral). Update, develop and maintain technical and user manuals and user guidelines. Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, programmers, and other Programmer Analysts to resolve any defects in products or company systems.  Ensure change management policies and procedures are maintained, documented and implemented at all times.  Own and manage the enhancement roadmap on behalf of Feeding America’s National Office and priorities of the members utilizing the solution. Construct data flow diagrams, site map diagram and data / business process flow diagrams.  Develop recommendations for ways to utilize solutions that increase Return on Investment and reduce system customization.   Requirements BA/BS in software engineering or computer science. Five to Ten years equivalent work experience.  At least five years of work experience with CRM/fundraising systems.  Work experience in Not-for-Profit management. 3 to 5 years of experience with Project management. Experience with Blackbaud product offering required and CRM a plus. Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential. Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Reacts to program / project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently and flexible during times of change. Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines. Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments. Ability to bring program / project to successful completion through political sensitivity across the Feeding America National Office and member network. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills Adept at conducting research into program / project-related issues and products.
