The United States Coast Guard Academy Alumni Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the mission of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, is pleased to announce a search for a new position in the Alumni Association – Director of Athletic Giving.  This individual will work as part of a growing Development team within the Alumni Association at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT to raise funds in support of the varsity athletic program within a growing athletic development program named the Bear Club.  Now in its fourth year the Bear Club offers tremendous opportunities for growth in this area with annual membership drives, broad and targeted appeals for support, golf tournament administration and other event planning in coordination with the Academy’s Athletic Department.  The director will be required to plan and implement strategic plans for the program, provide ongoing analytical reports on progress, write articles for print and electronic media, speak publicly at events, manage volunteers and travel as needed.  Bachelor’s degree and three to five years’ related experience required as well as the ability to work independently and as a team player in a collaborative environment.  Interested candidates should provide a resume and cover letter addressed to the search committee to employment@cgaalumni.org by September 30, 2015.
