Text missing or overlapping on envelopes when printed out through mail module

Options
Hey Guys,

As I type this message I am SUPER frustrated...and here is why.

I need to know if anyone is having or has had any issues with the  text on your envelopes overlapping or missing when printed out through the mail module.

Note: I know it is not my printer because when this happens I have to do my envelopes in word and they print out just fine!

This has been going on for a while with me...at least a 2 months. It happens off and on. It will be with either all the envelopes in the batch or just some of them.

I have contacted chat support about this but I have not been able to take up half of my work day to dedicate to getting this resolved...with all the steps of troubleshooting that they send you through. So I have just been dealing with it. I thought I would reach out to the community.

Thanks in advance for any help or information you can pass along.

  • I haven' t had this happen, but here are some things to check (I'm assuming that you're using Mail > Envelopes and printing directly to your printer by clicking the "Print" button and not using "Preview" then printing).

Try the "Layout" button and see if you get an error.

Use only the default Form font = Times New Roman and Font size = 10

On the Format tab > Output Options make certain that the Skip X lines and Include X spaces are unchecked

Make certain that your printer is seeing the "paper" (envelope) as the exact same size as what you have selected on the General tab.

If you use "Preview" does it display the same way that it prints?

Are you running the Truncatioin Reports available on the Format tab?

I know that I used to have frustrating sporadic problems printing that were the result of other folks on staff making changes to the default settings on the printer (paper size, etc.).
