Crystal Reports Not Supported by Blackbaud

Hello,



My IT department tells me that Crystal is no longer supported by Blackbaud and they are in the process of looking for alternate reporting options.  Is anyone else doing the same?  What are you looking to move to?  



Any thoughts?

This is news to me, have you confirmed this with Blackbaud directly?  Who is in the process of looking for alternate reporting options, Blackbaud or your IT department?  I doubt this is true.  Perhaps your IT department meant that your organization no longer has Crystal Reports support/maintenance, which is only included in certain maintenance levels.

Hi Hilda,

I'm not sure what your IT department is talking about, but Crystal Reports is still supported by Blackbaud; in fact, I just called and received support yesterday.  We aren't looking to move to any other report software, and I certainly hope BB isn't either!

We still support Crystal Reports for Raiser’s Edge 7 and Raiser’s Edge NXT and do not have plans to end support. Can you confirm where your IT department heard this information so I can help clarify if anything was miscommunicated?

 

We’re also in the process of building robust and advanced modern cloud reporting/business intelligence capabilities for Raiser’s Edge NXT. We are looking forward to sharing more information about some of these new reporting technologies we are going to offer with NXT at BBCON this year, so stay tuned!
