'This Person is Deceased' text indication on a Directory.

Is there any way i can change the appearance of the 'Deceased' merge field on a Directory result or on a profile display?



I realise that i can change the text formatting of the default 'This Person is Deceased' display, but i mean rather actually change what displays? I'd much prefer "RIP" or the "†" symbol, it is a lot more appropriate for our site.



If possible also i would display the year of death. So lets say my merge fields on a profile display part looked like this:



"< Name > (< Deceased >< Deceased Date >)"



If someone on our records had died in 2012 it might display like this:



Joe Bloggs (†2012)



or -



Joe Bloggs (RIP2012)



Can anyone shed any light on what options i may have here? is it possible with some sort of javascript replace function? or am i overlooking anything simpler?

I believe one of the merge fields in Primary Salutation or Primary Addressee; we also set up a Web Salutation to use on our website.

If you create the Add Sal to follow the formatting that you and and then make NC look at that salutation, would that solve your issue?
