Multi-Department Donation and Registration Processing

I hope everyone is having a fantastic 2013.



My question today is about processing donations and event registrations and other types of transactions through the BBNC PlugIn. Anyone out there struggling with who (which department) processes what (donations vs. registrations). Say you are a museum. You have a Development Department and an Education Department. The Development Department has been using BBNC for online donations and the plugin to process those donations into RE. The Education Department is about to role out event registration pages through BBNC to sign people up for educational sessions and to accept payment for those sessions. Anyone have recommendation/suggestions/experience on letting the Education Department process "their own" event registrations into RE? Good idea? Problems? Any suggestions on how to keep things "separate"?
