BBNC Menu Navigation Issue with 6.53 patch 11

Good afternoon! Due to the impact on some BBNC/OCC sites, we wanted to apprise the larger community here of an issue that some folks have been experiencing in the last 24 hours. There are steps that your organization can take now if affected by this detailed in a link below



What occurred?


Earlier today, a Blackbaud event notification (BEN) alert went out to to affected organizations. Last night an update to hosted customers in our Boston, Vancouver, and Orange County data center (patch 11 of BBNC 6.53) caused issues with BBNC Menu navigation depending on the configuration and type of links inside of menu parts. This would affect those 6.53 patch 11 sites that have:



Links that were created in Menu parts by manually entering the full link URL (see image below) are not showing up on the website unless the user has supervisor access to the website and is logged in.



Additionally, if one or more levels in the Menu structure previously contained manually-entered links that have since been removed (i.e. they now exist as a menu level not pointing to any link), that entire level and all sub-links below that level will not appear on the website.



Please check your site(s) menu navigation links to evaluate the potential impact this issue may be having.



What are our next steps?


We are currently evaluating this issue and plan to have a fix patched available soon for this issue. In the meantime, there are steps to restore your key external links and/or menu nodes. Our support teams can also provide assistance to you if you should need some help in deploying the fix manually using the menu part.
