Need to press "ENTER" when searching any directory parts on a webpage

I could have sworn this functionality was there at one point and now taken away. I had staff members who were used to being able to press enter on a directory that now can't anymore. I also tried and I have to physically click "Search" on a directory. While I don't mind this process that much, it is misleading because if you actually do press ENTER, the page loads and acts like it is trying to process your request but produces nothing in the search results. That, to me, is misleading for all our users.

This case was created but the finding was that this particular page wasn't working properly because it was an EE part and there was a search bar part on the page and so when enter was hit, the search bar activated. I think only the search bar should activate if there is a cursor in the search bar and if there is text in the directory area, shouldn't it search that?

You also can't press ENTER within the search for documents as well, I noticed.
