Event Registration and Event Calendar integration

Why is Event Calendar not integrate with Event Registration since it's already part of NetCommunity? Since Event Registration and Event Calendar are part of the "Community", one shouldn't have to first setup the events in the Event Registration and then manually go into Event Calendar and re-create those events again so that it shows up in the Event Calendar? After all, it's called "Event" Calendar.
