Best "Sharing" Practice?

I took two of the Webinar's provided by Blackbaud wherein they suggested that the "sharing" of emails via Twitter, Facebook, etc., is the most beneficial way of promoting emails. However, this option is not currently available through NetCommunity. However, frustration has set in as it's mentioned in a Webinar presentations about it being a "best" practice, why is the option not offered or even in the works?
