The slideshow images loading slowly on homepage

The slideshow images are loading slowly on our homepage - it can take a maximum of 10 seconds for the images to populate. I have opened a case with a Blackbaud representative (case 11938444) and spoke to the Senior Solutions Consultant regarding the issue. However, I have not received a definitive response other than that various browsers load it slowly and they are working on the problem. This problem was addressed January 15th and has continued to be a problem - we are launching promotions for the site in the coming weeks, so it is very important that this issue is resolved in the near future.
