BBNC makes Membership join/renew and expired dates are wrong

These dates are supposed to be the date of the gift and then automatic based on what we have configured in RE. If I renew a membership via the gift record (either existing in RE or in a working batch), the join/renew date is the gift date and the expires on is 1 year later.



When processing memberships in BBNC, the join/renew is the date I am processing (not what we want) and then the expires on has to be manually entered (time consuming, and you have to look it up if you have anything but an expires one year later schedule).

Did you open a case for this? If so can you please provide the case number? Based on your description I'm uncertain if this is supposed to be working this way or not. if you haven't opened a case I encourage you to do so. I did submit a case and they are looking at it. If it is "supposed" to be working this way, then can I suggest that doesn't make sense. A person's joined date should default to the date of the gift or follow business rules established by the org. This is just just using the date we are downloading it, which could be days later and even fall in a different month.

We were told that this is something that the programmers "overlooked". Not exactly helpful.
