Can't create email list from query

For the past 3 months we haven't been able to load an email list based on a query in NetCommunity. When I create a new list and search for a query in RE, nothing is returned: 'no queries are found in Raiser's Edge'. We're split hosted. Tech support has been working on the issue and we've been back and forth checking configuration and installing updates.



Because we can't load queries, we have to import/export CSV files. We are very concerned because we have been addressing our very important supporters (many we know personally!) with a cold 'Dear friend' instead of a their name. Has anyone else experienced this issue?



Email by NetCommunity has never fully met our expectations so we're considering another service like Constant Contact or iContact. Has anyone else gone this route?
