Donation Form question field

I need to add a question to our donation form asking "How did you hear about us?". Is this possible without requiring a tie-in from Raiser's Edge? It seems like it should be a simple task to add this field but the donation form seems so rigid with regard to customization.

Gift Attributes are your answer. They are available on the donation form once you create them in RE.

thanks but it still requires RE. i was hoping to avoid that because I don't have access to RE.

These would be set up in The Raiser's Edge. That being said if we added a field that didn't go somewhere in The Raiser's Edge, the information would disappear and you wouldn't be able to report on it. Does that make sense?



I agree with Warren that gift attributes are the way to go with this.

well that makes sense. i was just hoping there was some magical way around the RE side of it. Thanks for clearing it up though.

I think you can also use the "Appeal" section and choose certain appeals for them to choose from.
