How do I edit invalid email addresses?

Options
I'm using the thankyou4caring.org system and don't seem to be able to edit the invalid emails in order to make the corrections to make them valid. That is such an obvious required feature I am sure the ability must be there, just can't find it. Please point me in the right direction.

  • Hey Grant,

Invalid email addresses can be removed from the invalid list under Email, Invalid addresses. Please only do this if you have tested the specific email address. If an email address is incorrect, please correct it in the source. Your source is probably The Raiser's Edge.

    Thanks!

  • The source is actually the online ordering area, rcav.thankyou4caring.org where the giving person typed their email incorrectly
  • Hey Grant,

You processed the donation into The Raiser's Edge, so the source is now the constituent record that you created during that process.

    Thanks!

  • Karen, I'm not understanding your logic. To me the source doesn't change at all. The person came to our donation page and gave us a gift. That is the source and it doesn't change, not ever. When they gave us the gift they accidentally misspelled their email address and so it is now showing up as a bounced email. I want to change the email address so it is spelled correctly so I can send them their receipt and have them removed from the bounced list. Is there a way to do that or not?

If there is a way I cannot see how to do it.

Thank you for your patience as I learn how to use the net community product.
  • Hey Grant,

If you want to resend an acknowledgement, it has to be done outside of NetCommunity. I apologize. http://bbnccommunity.blackbaud.com/bb... is the thread where someone suggested this.

    Thanks!

  • Hey Jackson,

If the answers in this thread aren't helping, this will probably be better as a support case.

    Thanks!
