Favicon issues with .ico file and error message

Why do I get this message: [The following error(s) must be corrected before continuing:


Favicon Upload: To render the favicon image correctly in all browsers, you must select an .ico image] The image I am uploading IS an .ico file...

Hi Bill:



It may be because the file in question may have an extension of .ICO, but is some other format. .ICO is an Icon File format that is different from JPG, GIF, PNG, etc.



You may want to consult the knowledgebase article How to add logo to the browser tab (Favicon) for Blackbaud NetCommunity Website Pages for further information. If after consulting that document you are still having trouble, I'd encourage you to reach out to NetCommunity Support at 800.468.8996.
