How do I create a custom Email sign up form?

I need to create an email list and therefore a custom email sign up form to collect emails of people interested in receiving updates about a specific event. This form will be embedded in our website. Thx

Hey MO,

I think a common form would work for this, but keep in mind that won't integrate with The Raiser's Edge. To see if you guys have the common form feature see if you're able to create form display parts. Another idea is to use constituent attributes on the email preferences part for each type of email. Here's the guide for that http://www.blackbaud.com/kb/index?page=content&id=BB753573

Lastly you might want to consider if emails are even a good idea for this in general. Maybe social media is a better way to connect with these constituents (Facebook, Twitter, etc).
