Embedding newsletters sent through Online Express on our website

Options
Is it possible to upload/embed email newsletters that you send via Online Express onto our Wordpress website? Or create a PDF version to have on file? We would like to archive past newsletters for site users to read.

Thanks!

Many thanks

Hello Rebecca. Currently there is no way to embed the content from an email onto your website automatically. Our research has shown that engagement with this type of content tends to be low for many organizations. That said, it is something we could consider in the future.

We need to have the ability to share the campaign on social media, so buttons/links to tweet or share it on facebook, etc.

We have the follow buttons, but not share buttons. Since there is also no way to open the message in a new tab as a web page, we can't share it on social media at all right now.

Hi Elizabeth. I merged this post with another similar topic. Adding email content to a webpage is something we are keeping an eye on as a future possibility.

Just to toss an idea out there, here is one option that we see organizations use with great results. If there is some content that is compelling enough to include in both an email and a webpage, create a well polished and web optimized page for the content. Then in the email include only a teaser for the content with a call to action link to the corresponding webpage. This helps keep the emails brief; and in general brief/succinct emails perform much better than longer, complete stories. Just something to think about :)

    This is what we do.

Or, we copy and paste the copy/images from the email into a blank webpage on our website if having a "view on website" link is critical.

That's great Jennifer! The big benefit there is that you can include an enticing summary in the email rather than including the entire block of content. It tends to preform very well with recipients!

Does the copy/paste work in adding it to a blank webpage if using BBK-12 products?

Has there been any additional discussion about allowing an email communication to be available as html link or on a website?  We have users who have difficulty with loading images/graphics and this would be another way for them to be able to read/see the content.

    Thanks

    Tina

  • I'm just once again adding my voice to the masses. BB OX did whatever they want and called it "industry standard." The major e-newsletter providers (Emma, Constant Contact, MailChimp) all have this as an option to share/embed/etc on social media and websites. Not even being able to create a PDF is incredibly hindering.

Between this and the other limitations I know I'll be recommending that we not renew in the future.

As an aside, I think the "create a well polished and web optimized page for the content." comment is incredibly demeaning to every person on this forum. Many organizations want a historical record on their websites of their newsletters regardless of "research [showing] that engagement with this type of content tends to be low for many organizations. By all means, please point us to the research you have that Emma, Constant Contact, MailChimp and all the rest don't have. If I had to guess the engineers either couldn't do it or BB didn't want to invest in the extra time to make this a robust platform.

I am wondering if anything has been done to address this problem?
